چکیده
The Gulf Journal of Dermatology and Venereology in the skin was present on the surface of this black plaque in the interscapular region. In addition there were numerous black, indurated, papules, nodules and plaques (1.0-8.0cm) scattered all over the limbs, abdomen, face and neck (Fig. 2). A single, linear, band shaped, yellow plaque with velvety surface was present on the face and scalp extending from the lower lip in the midline to the left temporal and parietal region of the scalp, and the left auricle traversing the chin, the submental and the left mandibular regions (Fig. 3). The plaque was thrown into cerebriform folds over the scalp. A firm pedunculated skin colored 1.0cm nodule was present within the yellow plaque over temporal region. CASE REPORT

Epidermal nevus syndrome: Report of a giant linear epidermal nevus
Linear epidermal nevi frequently follow the lines of Blaschko and may be confused with the verrucous stage of incontinentia pigmenti. Inflammatory epidermal nevus appears as a line array of pink to red papules usually on the lower limb (Buttock and hip) clinically resembling psoriasis or eczematous dermatitis. But inflammatory epidermal nevus has distinct histopathologic features. We report a c...
متن کاملHemimegalencephalic variant of epidermal nevus syndrome: case report and literature review.
The epidermal nevus syndrome (ENS) is an uncommon neurocutaneous disorder in which epidermal nevi are found in association with congenital abnormalities of the brain, eye, and/or skeleton. The association of epidermal nevi and neurologic abnormalities was comprehensively described by Schimmelpenning in 1957. Pavone et al. (1991) identified a homogeneous variant of ENS with hemimegalencephaly, g...

Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome is a sporadic disease with widely distributed dark blue papules and nodules and soft skin-colored compressible protuberances (rubber blebs) as well as large vascular malformations. Gasterointestinal lesions are documented by upper endoscopy and colonoscopy; hemorrhages from these lesions create irondeficinecy anemia. Other sites of visceral involvement are less c...

Port-wine stain is a vascular malformation characterized pathologically by ectasia of superficial dermal capillaris and clinically by persistent macular erythema. The association of a port-wine stain on a limb with soft tissue swelling, with or without bony overgrowth, is termed klippel-Trenaunay syndrome. Phakomatosis pigmento-vascularis is a combination of port-wine stain and cutaneous ...
متن کاملPhacomatosis pigmentokeratotica or the Schimmelpenning‐Feuerstein‐Mims syndrome?
Cutaneous symptoms in some patients with clinical picture of Schimmelpenning-Feuerstein-Mims syndrome can include a speckled lentiginous nevus, also known as nevus spilus. Recent investigations show that somatic heterozygous HRAS mutations are present in the sebaceous and speckled lentiginous nevus tissues of patients with combination of two nevi.
